Classic Lit.

Every month I will be featuring a "Classic novel of the month".

"By reading classic novels we can see how literature and culture has developed throughout the years. I believe its important for young readers to read these classics as a way of preserving them and learning from them. A classic novel may not be your first choice when you go into a bookstore or library, but I guarantee you that once you read a classic, it will remain in your heart and mind forever."

  1. As a young writer, I'd have to agree. Before I went to college I hadn't picked up one classic book for fun. But since starting school I've been reading a ton. I'm slowly making my way through the Russians, Gogol etc., Fitzgerald, and of course I'm reading ALL of Poe! Pride and Prejudice is on my list, right next to Jane Eyre and Wuthering Heights. I'll have to make sure I add some Charles Dickens.
